No. Servyn works with any standard ESC/POS thermal printer using USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.

Can I route drink orders to a bar printer and food to the kitchen printer?

Yes. Printers can be assigned per station — bar, pantry, main kitchen — so a ticket only prints where it needs to be prepared.

What happens if I try to print to a PDF or virtual printer by mistake?

Servyn detects virtual printers (like Microsoft Print to PDF) and saves the output directly instead of popping a save dialog mid-service, so a misconfigured printer selection doesn't interrupt billing.

Can I set a different number of copies for bills versus KOTs?

Yes. Copy count is configurable separately for bills and kitchen tickets, since a KOT is usually one copy per station while a bill might need two.
