Thermal Printer & Receipt Printing POS System

Universal hardware compatibility out of the box. Connect any standard 2-inch or 3-inch thermal printer on Windows, Android, iOS, or Mac.

Summary

This page covers thermal printer support — any standard 80mm or 58mm printer over USB, Bluetooth or LAN, with per-station routing for bar, pantry and kitchen tickets.

It's for restaurants wanting no proprietary hardware requirement, a fallback to on-screen printing if the print service goes down, and one pipeline shared by bills and KOTs.

80mm & 58mm receipt customization

Add your restaurant logo, custom GSTIN header, discount breakdowns, and customized thank-you footers on thermal receipts.

Multi-printer order routing (Bar, Pantry, Main Kitchen)

Route KOT receipts to separate physical thermal printers placed at different kitchen stations simultaneously.

Prints the exact receipt length, not a fixed page size

A thermal receipt prints at the measured height of its actual content — no wasted paper on a short bill, no cut-off text on a long one — and a connected printer prints silently in the background rather than opening a save dialog each time.

Falls back to on-screen printing if the print service is offline

If the local print helper is not running, billing and KOT printing still work through the browser's own print dialog, so a printer connectivity issue slows service down rather than stopping it.

No proprietary terminal hardware required

Any standard 80mm or 58mm thermal printer connects over USB, Bluetooth or LAN — there's no requirement to buy a specific branded terminal to use billing or KOT printing.

One print pipeline for both bills and kitchen tickets

Bills and KOTs use the same underlying print connection, configured once per device, rather than needing separate driver setups for receipts versus kitchen tickets.

A printer choice that does not lock you into one vendor

Because any standard thermal printer works over USB, Bluetooth or LAN, switching printer brands later does not mean reconfiguring how billing or KOT printing works — the printer is a peripheral choice, not a platform dependency.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need special proprietary thermal printers for Servyn?

No. Servyn works with any standard ESC/POS thermal printer using USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.

Can I route drink orders to a bar printer and food to the kitchen printer?

Yes. Printers can be assigned per station — bar, pantry, main kitchen — so a ticket only prints where it needs to be prepared.

What happens if I try to print to a PDF or virtual printer by mistake?

Servyn detects virtual printers (like Microsoft Print to PDF) and saves the output directly instead of popping a save dialog mid-service, so a misconfigured printer selection doesn't interrupt billing.

Can I set a different number of copies for bills versus KOTs?

Yes. Copy count is configurable separately for bills and kitchen tickets, since a KOT is usually one copy per station while a bill might need two.
